The Minister of Transport and the Governor of Hodeidah Inspect the Progress of Work at the port of Hodeidah

The minister of transport and Public Works Mr. Mohammed Ayash qahim and the governor of Hodeida Mr. Abdullah Atifi inspected, on Wednesday, 9 Dhu al-Qa'da 1446 AH, corresponding to May 7, 2025, the progress of work at the berths and services of the port of Hodeida, and the mechanism for receiving and entering cargo ships, following the Zionist raids that targeted the port's vital facilities.
Qahim and Atifi were briefed on the activity of unloading ships arriving at the port, the progress of work at the docks and operational services, including the reception of essential goods, and the smooth regularity of navigational traffic despite the damage caused to the infrastructure as a result of direct Zionist bombing.
They listened to a detailed explanation from the chairman of the board of Yemen Red Sea Ports Corporation, Mr. Zaid Ahmed Taha al-washali, and his deputy, Mr. Nasr Abdullah Al-nusairi, about the procedures that have been implemented to continue the operational path of the port services, damage containment and emergency maintenance work, to ensure the continuation of unloading and handling operations without stopping.
During the visit, minister qahim praised the efforts of engineering and technical personnel who are beginning the rehabilitation of the damaged sidewalks, stressing that the repair work is proceeding at an accelerated pace and will be completed within a short period to ensure the continuous flow of goods without interruption.
He pointed out that the movement of ships and steamers is carried out with high flow, and the cargo is unloaded smoothly and without obstacles, pointing out that this is the fruit of God's blessing, and then for the sincerity of the port workers who continue day and night to ensure the continuity of services.
"The Zionist enemy's targeting of the infrastructure and capabilities of the Yemeni people reflects a state of helplessness and Bankruptcy, stressing that such aggressive actions will not dissuade Yemenis from fulfilling their national duty and continuing steadfastness,"qahem said.
For his part, the chairman of the board of Yemen Red Sea Ports Corporation, Mr. Zaid Ahmed Taha al-washali, assured citizens that food and all basic goods arrive at Hodeidah port without interruption, stressing that there are no delays in entering ships or unloading their cargo, and no increase in the prices of those goods as a result of targeting.
Al-washli explained that the ships unload their cargo around the clock, and that the reception and unloading programs were not affected, thanks to God, and then thanks to the high efficiency of the technical and navigational staff working at the port
. In turn, the governor of Hodeidah stressed that the targeting of the American Zionist enemy of the port of Hodeidah represents a war crime described, blaming the aggression countries for these repeated attacks on civilian facilities.
Atifi pointed out that the continuation of work at a high pace inside the port reflects the efficiency of the technical and navigational crews, considering that the efforts made under these conditions are appreciated and respected by all workers.
He stressed that the governorate leadership, in coordination with the competent authorities, will continue to support and follow up all steps aimed at neutralizing the port and ensuring the continuity of its activity, as a major lifeline for millions of Yemenis.
