A meeting held at Yemen Red Sea Ports Corporation in Hodeida on, Wednesday, 11 Shaaban 1445 AH, corresponding to 2/21/2024 AD, headed by Deputy Minister of Transport Muhammad Al-Hashemi, discussed aspects of coordination between the Ports Corporation, the Chamber of Shipping, and the private sector.

The meeting, which included the Chairman of the Corporation’s Board of Directors, Marine Engineer Yasser Muhammad Ahmed, his deputy Mr.Zaid Al-Washli, and officials of shipping companies, reviewed the efforts made in the import process of various goods and the facilities provided to importing merchants through the port of Hodeida.

At the meeting, the Deputy Minister of Transport highlighted the role of the private sector in the economic development process as it is an essential partner in supporting the economy and building the nation, stressing the keenness of the leadership and the government to overcome all the difficulties facing this sector in order to enable it to carry out its development role in the required manner.

Al-Hashemi pointed to the requirements for enhancing performance in the commercial activity of Yemen Red Sea ports, in line with the responsibility placed on everyone, especially in light of the current circumstances that the country is going through.

The Chairman of Yemen Red Sea Ports Corporation and his deputy spoke on the work and projects that were implemented during the last period within the framework of the national vision aimed at improving port services and simplifying procedures for merchants and commercial shipping agents.

They explained that Hodeida ports provide their services to all arriving ships loaded with various types of goods through organized work mechanisms that ensure accelerating procedures and efforts to unload ships and not overcrowding them on the berth.

The leadership and employees of Yemen Red Sea Ports Corporation participated, this, Friday, 6 Shaaban 1445 AH, corresponding to 2/16/2024 AD, in the massive public march that took place on Al-Mina Street in Hodeida Governorate, affirming the continued mobilization and readiness to defend national sovereignty and escalate solidarity with the Palestinian people, under the slogan “Our Yards are our jihad.” We are steadfast with Gaza until victory.”

The participants in the march raised the Yemeni and Palestinian flags, chanting slogans of condemnation and denunciation towards the crimes that the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are being subjected to in terms of crimes that shame humanity amid the failure of the Arab leaders. They stressed that the aggression against Yemen is part of the Zionist aggression against Palestine.

The participants expressed their firm positions and absolute solidarity with their Palestinian brothers in defending Gaza against the arrogance and crimes of the Zionist enemy until victory is achieved.

They renewed their mandate and absolute support for all decisions taken by the leader of the revolution, Mr. Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and the operations of the Yemeni armed forces in support of the people and the Palestinian resistance, which is fighting the battle of the “Al-Aqsa Flood” in response to the crimes and massacres of the criminal and usurping Zionist enemy.

The participants in the march praised the qualitative operations of the heroes of the Palestinian resistance, the supporting role of the Yemeni armed forces, and their continued prevention of the passage of American, British and Israeli ships or those heading to the occupied Palestinian ports until victory is achieved.
