In implementation of the program of the government of construction and change, under the supervision of His Excellency the minister of transport and Public Works, Major General Mohammed qahim, and under the guidance of the chairman of the board of Yemen Red Sea Ports Corporation, Mr. Zaid Ahmed Taha al-washali, the vice chairman of Yemen Red Sea Ports Corporation, Mr. Nasr Abdullah Al-nusairi, inaugurated on Sunday, 13-4-2025, the work of electronic systems in the financial and administrative field at Salif port, as part of the steps to develop the work environment and improve the efficiency of performance in various port departments.
The inauguration, which was attended by the director general of Information Systems Mohammed Al-joufi, included the electronic financial collection system via the CAC bank network and linking it to the main center of the port, as part of the transition from manual and paper work to an integrated electronic system that contributes to speeding up the completion of transactions and monitoring performance first.
Al-nusairi stressed that this technical update comes in the context of the directions of the port and the ministry to enhance the efficiency of ports and provide distinguished services to ships, importers and investors, despite the challenges resulting from the continuation of the aggression and blockade.
He pointed out that the new systems represent a qualitative leap in the management of operations and facilitate financial and technical procedures, save time and effort and reduce administrative backlogs, calling on all departments to interact responsibly with this step.
The vice chairman inspected the progress of work at the port, reviewed the operational situation and the services provided, and listened to an explanation from the director general of Salif Port, Dr. Fouad al-Kabsi, about the port's activity in receiving ships with large tonnages that are unable to enter Hodeidah port, and the port's technical and operational needs.
Al-nusairi appreciated the efforts of the port's employees and their steadfastness in performing their vital tasks, stressing the importance of integration between various departments to promote the port and improve its services.
During the visit, he was accompanied by the general managers of the Office of the chairman of the board Mr. Ali al-Ansi, human resources Mohammed Al-saafani, finance Abdullah Harba, security and safety Bandar Shara, the director of the Office of CAC bank in the port of Hodeidah the Yazan al-aghbari, the director of the Office of the vice president of the institution Ahmed Hatem tamer, and the director of general revenue Adel Faqira.
