A meeting of the board of Directors of Yemen Red Sea Ports Corporation on Saturday, 11 Rajab 1446 AH, corresponding to 11-1-2025, which included the ministers of transport and Public Works Mr. Mohammed qahim and foreign affairs and expatriates Mr. Jamal Amer, discussed the repercussions of the US-Zionist-British aggression targeting the ports of Hodeida.
The meeting was attended by the governor of Hodeida Mr. Abdullah Atifi, the chairman of the board of the Hodeida port Mr. Zaid Al-Washali and his deputy Mr. Nasr al-Nusairi, and board members reviewed the priorities of work in light of the repeated aggression on the ports of Hodeida and the continued targeting and destruction of port infrastructure.
The meeting touched upon the assessment of the financial position for the third quarter of 2024 and the achievements of the corporation over the past year despite the difficulties and challenges faced as a result of the Israeli-American aggression on the ports of the institution.
At the meeting, the ministers of transport and Foreign Affairs stressed the importance of addressing and containing any repercussions and ensuring the continuation of the work of Hodeida ports because of their importance in providing basic food and medicine to the Yemeni people.
He praised the efforts of the leadership and staff of the port and their efforts to facilitate the entry of ships and provide food, oil derivatives and basic materials, despite the difficulties imposed by the aggression to try to paralyze the movement of the port of Hodeida and affect its ability to receive ships.
Al-washali and Al-Nusairi provided a detailed explanation of the efforts being made to confront the repercussions resulting from the repeated targeting of the American-British Zionist aggression on the ports of Hodeida, Salif and Ras Issa.
