The Council of Ministers, in its periodic meeting on Sunday 10-17-1444 AH corresponding to 7-5-2023 AD, headed by Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor, in the presence of Speaker of Parliament Mr. Yahya Ali Al-Rai, approved the matrix of emergency needs for Yemen Red Sea Ports Corporation, submitted by Minister of Transport Mr. Abdul Wahhab Al-Durra, which represents a necessity to ensure that the corporation and its ports in Hodeida carry out the tasks entrusted to it as required towards ships and ships arriving at the port and carrying various commodities and goods and preparing to receive large international shipping lines that have recently been formally requested to return their navigation lines to the ports of Hodeida directly.
The council directed the ministry, in coordination with the relevant ministries, to provide the required equipment and implement the procedures contained in the matrix.
The matrix included basic equipment and supplies, including marine pontoons and gantry cranes, “cranes that were targeted by the aggression aircraft,” as well as container incubators, as well as administrative and technical requirements.
