On Monday, 6-6-2022 a meeting in Sana'a, headed by the Minister of Transport Abdel Wahab Al-Durra, discussed the development and modernization plans of Yemen Red Sea Ports Corporation for the current year.

The meeting, was attended by the Chairman of the YRSPC Corporation, Captain Mohammad Abu Bakr Ishaq, reviewed the projects implemented and under implementation within the national vision in the second phase, especially with regard to the development of the port of Hodeida and its necessary needs.

In the meeting, the Minister of Transport praised the role of Yemen Red Sea Ports Corporation and its efforts in providing services to the Yemeni people through the strategic port of Hodeida, stressing that the port provides its services in a professional and impartial manner.

The Chairman of Yemen Red Sea Ports Corporation reviewed the challenges and difficulties facing the work and tasks of the Corporation.

He stressed that Hodeida port is working with all its energy with high efficiency, technical and professional cadres and expertise in the field of maritime navigation,despite the systematic destruction of its equipment and devices that are important to the port’s work.

On Thursday, 2-6-2022, the General Department of Technical Affairs at Yemen Red Sea Ports Corporation started the maintenance program for the "Hajja" tugboat at Hodeida port's Slipway.

The Director General of Technical Affairs at the Corporation, Eng. Ahmed Salem Abdullah, explained that the precautionary maintenance of the Hajja tugboat comes within the periodically maintenance program for marine floating equipment which prepared by the administration

He stressed that the tugboat will be maintained in accordance with the requirements of the international class to maintain its readiness and efficiency to carry out maneuvering, towing and marine pilot work.

He pointed out that the maintenance work for the floating equipment is carried out through technical cadres from the administration and according to the available capabilities due to the siege and aggression and preventing the entry of spare parts.
