Technicians and engineers of the General Cargo Handling Equipment Maintenance Department at the General Administration of Technical Affairs at Yemen Red Sea Ports Corporation have completed maintenance of the (Catwa) Crane No. (10) with a capacity of 30 tons.

The Director of the Maintenance Department, Engineer Osama Abdul Rahman Al-Dabai, explained that the crane was fully rehabilitated and returned to service after it stopped working, and it comes within the maintenance program that was prepared by the department.

Pointing out that the program aims to maintain all general cargo handling equipment and mechanisms to preserve them and ensure their readiness to unload and ship goods to and from ships.

Pointing out that maintenance work for equipment and machinery is carried out by local cadres affiliated with the Department.

He added that a comprehensive maintenance process is currently being carried out for the Tadano Crane No. (3) with a capacity of 15 tons, according to the maintenance program, to be rehabilitated and returned to service.

Two training courses in the areas of crisis management and problem solving at the levels of supervisory management and design in the Auto CAD program began at the Training Center for Workers in Hodeida Port, organized by the Training and Rehabilitation Department of the General Administration of Human Resources at Yemen Red Sea Ports Corporation.

Over the course of a week, the two courses aim to provide 29 trainees from the public administrations of the corporation with skills and experience in crisis management and problem solving, as well as design in the Auto CAD program.

In the opening, speeches were made that pointed out the importance of the two sessions in raising the efficiency of the cadres working in the corporation and applauded the keenness of the leadership of the corporation to develop the capabilities of all its administrative and technical cadres.. indicating that the corporation's executive plan for the current year 1444 focused on training and qualification of the cadres of the institution and activating their role in accomplishing the tasks and functions of the corporation.

The words urged the participants in the two sessions to make optimal use of the learned experiences and skills in practice.
