The House of Representatives Reviews a Report on Yemen Red Sea Ports Corporation

The House of Representatives in its session held on, Monday, 20-5-2024, under the chairmanship of the chairman of the council, Mr. Yahya Ali al-Rai, reviewed the report of the transport and Communications Committee on the level of performance and technical, financial and administrative achievement of Yemen Red Sea Ports Corporation for the years 2021-2022-2023

The report included an overview of the corporation, the ports of Hodeida and Salif, and the programs and activities that were completed during 2021, including those related to countering aggression and dealing with its effects, economic and financial policies, reforms, public services and infrastructure.

The report also included documenting the crimes of aggression in Yemen, in addition to events, press conferences, organizing marches and protest stops condemning the aggression against our country, and concluded a number of observations and recommendations.

The council held a preliminary discussion of the report, in which the vice-chairman of the council, Mr. Abdul Rahman Al-Jamei, touched upon a number of observations that were not mentioned in the report, stressing the importance of absorbing them.

The members of the council stressed the importance of carrying out maintenance for the damaged fuel platform, the speed of repairing cranes, and carrying out maintenance work for damaged or in need of maintenance and repair.

The council approved the request for the presence of the ministers of transport and oil and minerals to complete the discussion of the report by their presence at tomorrow's meeting.
